1. About Longafter

Longafter is a personal legacy and life story platform that helps individuals capture memories, organise important information for their families, and preserve their personal history. Longafter is operated by [Company Name] ABN [XX XXX XXX XXX], registered in Australia.

2. Not a legal document

Longafter is not a substitute for legal advice or legal documents.

Nothing stored in Longafter — including information recorded in the Vault — constitutes a legally binding will, testament, power of attorney, advance care directive, or any other legal instrument. Information stored here is intended solely to assist your family in locating your existing legal arrangements, not to replace them.

You should engage a qualified solicitor to prepare any legally binding documents including your will, enduring power of attorney, and advance care directive. Longafter is a record-keeping and communication tool only.

3. Not financial advice

Longafter does not provide financial advice. Information stored in your Vault is for family reference and estate administration assistance only. Consult a licensed financial adviser for financial guidance.

4. What you must not store

The following must never be stored in Longafter:

  • Passwords, PINs, or passcodes to any account, device, or service
  • Full credit or debit card numbers
  • Full bank account login credentials
  • Tax File Numbers or government identity document numbers in full
  • Private cryptographic keys or seed phrases for cryptocurrency wallets
  • Any information belonging to another person without their consent

Longafter is not a password manager. Use a dedicated service such as 1Password or Bitwarden for passwords. You may record the name of your password manager and where to find it — but not the passwords themselves.

5. Encryption and security

Vault data is encrypted in your browser using AES-256-GCM before transmission. Your vault password is never stored by Longafter. We cannot decrypt your vault data, and cannot recover it if you lose your vault password and recovery phrase.

6. Your responsibility

  • Keep your account and vault passwords secure
  • Store your recovery phrase safely
  • Ensure information you store is accurate
  • Do not store prohibited information (clause 4)
  • Inform family members or executors that your Longafter archive exists

7. Data and privacy

Longafter will never sell your personal information or use it for advertising. Your data is stored on Australian servers. Request account deletion at any time by contacting privacy@longafter.com.au.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Longafter is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the platform, including loss of data, errors in stored information, or reliance on that information by you or your family.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Queensland courts.
